Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Saxophone Day

Royal Birmingham Conservatoire took place on On Sunday 12 March 2023

The event brought together saxophonists of all ages and abilities to experience the power of making music together.

The RBC saxophone tutors worked with saxophonists across the day in a variety of workshop settings, with RBC saxophone students on hand to play side-by-side and share their ideas and experiences. Workshops included: improvisation, woodwind tripling, chamber coaching.

Performances and masterclasses were given by guest artists Alex Sebastianutto (Italy) and the Laefer Quartet (UK) with world premières of works by Clare Loveday (South Africa) and Holly Gowland (UK).
