Trad on the clarinet = The Tradinettes!
New Folk Quartet The Tradinettes combines the talents of four prominent clarinettists on the UK folk scene: Dom O’Sullivan (Filkin’s Ensemble, Juniper) Helen Gentile (Threepenny Bit, Helen Gentile & Lewis Wood, Monkey See Monkey Do), Katie Stevens (Bonfire Radicals, Filkin’s Ensemble, Destroyers), and Kat “Katmuss” Browning (Never Mind the Bocs, The Neil Browning Band).
Their repertoire reflects their diverse folk specialisms, with the music ranging from Swedish slängpolskas, Irish trad, English folk, Québecois reels, klezmer and Welsh folk music. Tying the set together is a palpable joy for folk music, which the four players share. The Tradinettes celebrate the clarinet in a way never-heard before!
